FEES

At Say It Louder Speech Pathology we understand that enquiring about fees over the phone can be time consuming. We prefer to make this process easy for you. Say it Louder is not currently registered as a provider under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) however we are able to provide services for NDIS clients who are self or third party managed.

Consulting fees include:

  • Planning and preparation for your child’s individually tailored therapy session

  • Completion of your child’s unique, evidence based therapy session

  • Preparation of individually tailored activities for home practice

  • Liaising with other involved health and educational professionals

  • Comprehensive summary notes from the session shared with family and other involved professionals

  • Other administrative tasks e.g. phone discussions, Medicare correspondence

 REBATES AND SUBSIDIES 

You may be eligible for financial assistance when seeking support for your child. You do not require a referral to see a speech pathologist but a referral from your GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist under a government rebate system, may allow you to receive a rebate for our service. Read below for the various types of supports available

Medicare

If you are referred by a GP under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan (formerly Enhanced Primary Care plan), your child may be eligible for a Medicare rebate ($52.95 per session) on up to 5 allied health services per calendar year. Your child will require a referral from the GP for these rebated sessions.

NDIS

 The National Disability Insurance Scheme may be available for those with developmental delays, disabilities or difficulties across multiple areas of development. Depending on your situation, the NDIS can cover the cost of many allied health services. For further information, please refer to the NDIS website.

Private Health Insurance

Private Health Insurance: Speech pathology services may be eligible for you to claim through your private health insurance. The extent of your cover depends on the type of policy and extras you select. There are various limits that may apply, for example a limit per service, per year, or lifetime limits. Check with your private health insurer for more details.

Helping Children with Autism Package (Medicare Benefits Scheme)

A paediatrician can allocate up to 20 sessions for treatment from allied health disciplines, including speech pathology if your child has a diagnosis of autism or they suspect may have autism. A Paediatrician or Psychiatrist determines the child's eligibility for the program and will require a referral from these professionals to access this medicate rebate ($72.95 per session.) To receive this scheme, your child must be under 13 years of age at time of diagnosis and under 15 years of age when receiving treatment.
